Laura Miller: Fury; Collegiate All-American; Eagle

Congratulations to Fury (and 2010 Most Valuable Fury Forward) Laura Miller who will represent the United States over the next few weeks as a member of the United States Collegiate All-American squad and the United States Women’s National Team (the Eagles) at the Nations Cup Tournament!

Laura will be playing with the All-Americans on July 28th and July 31st against the Canadian University All-Star Team in Saranac Lake, New York.

Just a few days later, Laura will be joining the Eagles in Toronto for the Nations Cup, where the team will face off against England, Canada, and South Africa August 2nd, 5th, and 9th. The final and third place games will be August 13th.

Prior to her departure for these high level matches, D.C. Furies Head Coach and former 15s and 7s Eagle Nancy Fitz, former Eagle Dre Khoury, and former Eagle Liz Dilley (who sent a note of congratulations from New Zealand) presented Laura with a stuffed eagle to celebrate Laura’s first tour with the WNT and as reminder of all the Furies back home who are so proud of her accomplishments. Laura joins the ranks of many Fury Eagles who have been proud to represent their country. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Thanks to Eli White and Dre Khoury for this post.
